It’s that time of year again, cyclo-cross is coming so we might as well kick start the season with the outdoor club CX Social. This event is for everyone in the club, whether you want to take part in the various skills clinics and mini “races” on a small course or you just want to socialize and eat baked goods 
We set up some tents and a mini cx course around Columbia Lake in the area pictured below. There’s free weekend parking in “lot X”, large yellow area, just down the road and there’s parking at the rec centre, shown with a smaller yellow rectangle. The washrooms inside that building are also open to us.
The course will be contained in the purple area. We’ll have the club tent, snacks, bike racks setup in the grass just to the side of the parking lot by the Brubacher House. Bring some lawn chairs of your own or a blanket to lay on the grass.
If you have cycling friends that belong to another Ontario Cycling club invite them out. Anyone covered by Ontario Cycling insurance is welcome to join the fun. One day passes can also be purchased through Ontario Cycling.
