Last year the Guelph Cycling Club (GCC) started up their own club cyclo-cross event/race. This year they are looking to grow attendance, get more cycling friends out to have fun and invited the WCC since many of our members know each other from riding and racing.
It’ll be a fun day for the whole family. You don’t need a cross bike, gravel and mountain bikes are welcome. Here’s the schedule and costs.
11:00am Kids Race
12:00pm Casual Race
1:00pm Faster Race
Fees: U13 Free. Adults: $20.

I’d like to race this one since it sounds like fun. But unfortunately I made a family commitment on Sunday (so that I could race next week at the O-Cup). But that was before I saw the weather forecast for this weekend. Should be an awesome day for a fun race!
That was a Ton of fun today - great weather, nice course and an awesome WCC contingent !!
Thanks again to GCC for the invite - was a blast with the friendly competition!
Thanks Dan! I appreciate that and have passed the message on to Sagan.
Sagan did have a great race on Sunday (as did Lucas although he is now racing Elite). Everything came together and his focus on fueling and pacing really worked. Keeping up with Evan is definitely a solid accomplishment. Sagan is now focused on his next big race at the Pan Am championships in Montana since it is one of the qualification criteria for CX worlds in February.
Lucas did record a pre-ride video of the course at Kings Cross if anyone is interested.
