Description: This is a long course Time trial, which is key to understanding you FTP and endurance. The route is an out-and-back on a quiet country road. Some smaller rollers but nothing large. Road is 19.5 km with no stops the turn around is just before entering the town of Brussels.
This is open to ALL WCC members…as TTs are individual efforts, it is you against the clock. Nobody is turned away, all bikes and every person is welcome. I will put a marker at the 10km point as well, to allow anyone that feels 39 km is too much, you can do a full 20km TT, instead of our usual 14km.
Please indicate going and post an expected time in the comments, so I can seed the start appropriately.

Bumping this up…please indicate if you’re going and expected finish time before 18:00 this evening. I put a time limit on the poll for noon, but if you decide to come out last minute,..just show up and I will slot you in.
@ekalvi@WilliamL – You are welcome to come out – I’ll have a spot waiting for you.
Anyone else that would like to come out, please feel free. Lots of space… there is no charge and you’re more than welcome to show us your stuff!
See you all bright and early tomorrow morning. Remember – 8:30 a.m. sign in at the Elma Township Elementary School parking lot. First riders off at 9:00 a.m. SHARP!!
I’ll try to get close to 1:20! Maybe 1:25 (Strava says I did it in 1:24 once last year but it was on a group ride during a downhill portion so we’ll see)
Keep your eyes on the page… I’ll make a decision very early in the morning. We will ride in the rain, but not if there is a possibility of lightning… as pursuant to the OC policy.
It was a wet morning for a TT, but we were able to get everyone out (who wanted to) and complete the long course TT outside of Newry.
I was out stupid early and set up the signs for the course, then went out to ride 20 km of the course at a TT effort (my first this year) and pushed through the rain to finish in a solid time… even though my legs gave out with .5 km to go. It was a solid ride for me.
The 9 other racers came out and raced all-out on this rolling course. It’s not perfectly flat, and the South wind was not very helpful on the way back… it made for a tough test, but all the athletes gave it their all. Here are the results from the 39 km TT. Congrats all for your excellent efforts on a demanding course.
