There are two categories “Aero” and “Road Bike”:
Aero: Anything goes (No UCI restrictions)
Road: No clip on aerobars, no TT disc rear wheels, no TT specific helmet. (Aero road helmets are fine)
If you have clip on aerobars on your road bike you can still race, you’ll just be slotted into the aero category.
If you have specific questions prior to your ride please ask here.
Course is exactly 39 km… with 75m of elevation gain. It is very open countryside, but we can hope for light winds. I will be at the Public School for 9:15 to sign people in. You can do a quick warm up on the course, or head East on Perth Line 72 for a few kilometers. It’s very flat and the roads are in great shape (or they were last time i was out there).
Once we have most people signed in, I will send riders out at 1 - 2 minute intervals. (will depend on number of participants and expected finish times.)
Thank you for showing your interest and posting your estimated times. I will take that into account when I seed the start list. Please invite friends to come out and partake in the suffering… we welcome all comers.
Fingers crossed for favourable weather and fast times. Hope to see you Sunday A.M.
Awesome result by everyone. That tailwind coming back made you all feel like a pro! Once I return home I’ll post the results, but wanted to thank you all for coming out.
Special thanks to @Scottmac for manning the turn around and picking up the signs. (I found all the lag bolts!) Your help was greatly appreciated!! Next time I’ll be better prepared and give you the drill.
Thanks Kevin, Chris and Scott for running the show!
And @Emilyd is seriously fast- shed be in contention for the Canadian hour record with that pace …, just sayin
