14km out and back course. It starts on Streicher line near Hutchinson, heads up Streicher line with a marked turnaround 7km in. Riders then turnaround and head back to the start/finish. The course is fast, wide, has perfect pavement, good shoulders, rolling terrain and very low traffic.

Description:
This is our third TT of the season and will be held on our new short course. All ability levels are welcome. Any bike type is welcome (no e-Bikes). People have raced on road, TT, cross/gravel, MTB’s, hand cycles etc.

There are two categories “Aero” and “Road Bike”:

  • Aero: Anything goes (No UCI restrictions)
  • Road: No clip on aerobars, no TT disc rear wheels, no TT specific helmet. (Aero road helmets are fine)

All bike types are welcome. If you have clip on aerobars on your road bike you can participate, you’ll just be slotted into the aero category.

If you have specific questions prior to your ride please ask here.

Thanks and see you there!

Chris

Thanks Chris.
To all interested TT riders… please indicate if you’re planning on coming and your time before 12:00 tomorrow. I will hopefully have time to get the start list completed at lunch. I can still get you into the start list if you show up by 6:00… 6:15 at the very latest. First rider starts at 6:30.
Thanks everyone and hope to see you all tomorrow evening for some fast times!!

Late reply, but I think I’m coming. Will use it as my test ride pre Muskoka this weekend. Won’t be going full gas, but hopefully somewhere around 20 minutes perhaps?

I’m actually going to take the road bike tonight as I’m riding to the start. 19:59 is my stretch goal

Ended up being road bike after all lol

Great work everyone, that was an almost perfect evening for a TT. The winds weren’t too strong and in the perfect direction for a speedy return leg. Our local legend Chris E crushed it … setting an impressive sub 18 minute time. Chris P had a solid time on his road bike… after arriving JUST in time. Luke E crushed it too… considering he wasn’t doing it full gas - Impressive sir!! Paul D arrived late, but rode a solid time on a beautiful classic steel Colnago - welcome to the club Paul!!. I did the route earlier… and am getting stronger, but the stamina is just not there yet… YET!!
Here are the official results:

Great work everyone, and hopefully we can get a 40k TT in before the end of the month, but if not we’ll see you in August.

Kevin

p.s. – in case you’re confused… the column marked A is for Aero category. A = Aero, MX = Mercx (non-aero).

Thanks Kev for timing and nice time yourself!

I was pretty beat by the time I finally got there lol but it was great to get out on the course.
