Saturday May 29th Gravel routes, Belwood lake

I’ve got two routes for Saturday, they both go to Belwood lake.

Long one is a bit more adventurous, with a few more trails and a water crossing on side road 5. (km 37.4)

The shorter route, well, it’s still kind of long, because Belwood is kinda far away. But fewer trails, and no water crossing. You could also look at driving to Elmira or even to the Sandy Hills trailheads to make the route shorter, but still enjoy the ride to Belwood.

Not only butter tarts but the best turkey sandwich on the planet. I will be heading out from the market around 9.

Hmmm. Better get there early for butter tarts. They’ll be in high demand

That was some pretty good convergence at Belwood, I think there were 4 separate groups or individuals all there around noon.
The headwind up there was tough, but the way back was lovely.

???

How is it that no one has posted any pictures of the “Bounty” yet?

Kevin counted upwards of 30 tarts were purchased by this group. I might have contributed a third to that by taking 8 home in my “BT Frame Bag”.

Also good call by Thiago…who ordered a SUPER ham sandwich…followed by me…Drew…Kevin.

That was a long day into a hard headwind. Required lots of re-fueling to get back home.
