The groups have been smaller recently, but the rides continue.
The Thursday ride took us on a familiar counterclockwise loop through Hawksville,
The weather looked threatening all evening,
The forecast was good and the radar was clear so we carried on. The one phenomenon observed over the last few weeks is the clouds of bugs continues. No talking in the clouds unless you want a bonus snack
Dawn reported a moving average speed just under 20 kph which is normal for the rec gravel rides. It wasn’t completely dark at the end of the ride, but it was definitely dusky. Good lights will be a requirement soon.
The Saturday ride was a repeat of the ride from a couple weeks back when Bonnie Lou’s was unexpectedly closed.
The sky was grey and it bit cooler, but still quite pleasant. We managed to find colour here and there.
