I see that Ride With GPS has an event calendar, is there anyway we could integrate our Ride Notices from the forums to populate the Ride With GPS event calendar or alternately have the Ride With GPS event calendar post into the clubs ride notices?
Another alternative might be to just use the Ride With GPS event calendar to post ride notices and not use the forum “Ride Notices” Category at all, although I don’t really like that idea.
I would prefer if we could find away to integrate the Ride With GPS Event Calendar with our Club’s Ride Notices Forum.

Discourse events are now cross-posted and synced to the RideWithGPS events: Waterloo Cycling Club
Discourse remains the source of truth for the Club, but i’ll be syncing this out of convenience for those who like RWGPS Events. If you do, please tell me why. I already have 2 support tickets into them for them to add more features to their API.
One advantage of RWGPS I can see is that the entries are strongly typed, so we don’t get people writing dates & times in 20 different formats like we have on discourse – that’s mostly a developer thing, i don’t think users are hampered by this.

Being a developer/programmer myself I also like consistency.
I abhor the dd/mm/yy and mm/dd/yy formats for input, too ambiguous, unless the day is > 12 you can’t actually tell which format was intended.
YYYY-MM-DD is the only way to go, like a counter.
