Hey all!
I wanted to shout out this ride one last time! It’s happening this weekend on the 21st. I’ve done this ride several times and it’s a really nice out and back road ride. You can turn around anytime if you are not feeling it.
There is already a great thread happening in the Women’s Only category here, check it out and join the conversation!

I will be attending, riding the 200K distance and so will my amazing Randonneur friend Brenda. Together we will be there to support and encourage everyone who signs up. We plan to stick together but Randonneurs is a “ride your own ride” kind of club, so if anyone feels like going faster you should!

200km Route: Queen's Bush | Sat September 21 08:00
-
Please aim to arrive between 7:30 and 7:50 for check-in and inspection. Please be courteous and don’t make your ride organizer wait for you – they are on the brevet clock just as you are.
-
You must have a proper helmet, and wear it at all times while riding.
-
You must have a reflective vest with you, and wear it before sunrise, after sunset, as well as any period of impaired visibility such as fog or heavy rain. (Sunset on this day is 19:12, while the ride cutoff is 21:30)
-
You must have working front and rear lights affixed to your bike
-
Once the ride organiser has verified these prerequisites are in order you will be checked into the ride and issued your brevet card.
-
You must have someone sign your brevet card at each of the intermediate controls, as well as at the end of the ride.
A great place to discuss this ride is on slack – where you can chat in near real time with others who are going (and not fill the inboxes of those who aren’t). The #chapter-huron channel on the club Slack platform is a great place to drop a question around travel and lodging logistics.
