I’m rebuilding my rear MTB wheel, the old hub was a straight-pull novatec and it had bladed spokes, so naturally I figured I could re-use those spokes in my new Hope 5 Pro straight pull hub. Nope, the hub spoke holes aren’t keyed for bladed spokes, so now I need to find some butted straight pull spokes to rebuild this wheel with. According to the various straight-pull hub spoke length calculators, the spokes length for the new spokes is within a mm of the old spokes, as far as I could figure out. The rim is asymmetrical as is the hub and the spoke lengths are 280mm and 284mm.
Any recommendations on where to buy some spokes from in town?
