The Guelph Cycling Club is holding their annual cyclo-cross event at a private farm just outside of town and WCC members are invited, here’s the link to register. It’s $25 for adults and u13 are free.
We’ve had a bunch of members go since they started this a few years ago. If you scroll down the reg page you’ll see @Francqlife and @Sabrina pictured as well as @velodan.
Below is a description of the day and events. It’s for anyone with a gravel, MTB or cross bike. It’s very relaxed and just a fun time, I highly recommend giving it a try.

- 1:00pm Faster Race
Food Free hot chocolate and home baked snacks!
Bikes Gravel and mountain bikes are welcome!
Parking is limited! Please carpool if possible. Off site parking is encouraged and available in Arkell on Boreham Drive, the Arkell United Church or slightly further at Calvary United Church in the East corner of the lot. Bring gear in a back pack to ride from those sites. Extra bonus for all who ride there!
Musical Instruments Prizes for musical instruments brought and played course side (it’s a cyclocross tradition!) – more cowbell!
Try it out! Do we hear you say that you have never ridden cyclocross? Or that you don’t have a CX bike? Or that you’re not really interested in going all out? No problem, you can ride for fun in the ‘Casual’ ride at noon. Feeling a bit more adventurous? Try the ’Faster’ event at 1 PM! There’s even a Kid’s event at 11:00 AM.
**Cheer and heckle!**If you really don’t want to ride, you and your family are still welcome to come by and cheer or heckle your heart out!
Come out for some late season cycling and ride your bike with your GCC club mates one more time before going full subterranean Zwift!
