It’s been a few years since we’ve done this in person, but we’re back for 2023. On Feb 5 starting at 5:30 pm we’ll get together to watch the women’s and men’s cyclo-cross world championship races. We’ll start playing one of the races around 5:30, so get there by 5 to settle in.
Whether you live and breath cross or you don’t know anything about it you’re welcome to come, socialize and have a good time. Cross races are short, 60 min or less, and action packed. If you’ve never followed cross before you’ll be kept entertained and we’ll fill you in on all the details…whether you want us to or not.
This year is shaping up to be a good battle between the two big favorites for the men’s race. There are a couple other solid contenders, but we’ll see if they can keep up. Hopefully it’s a clean mechanical free race.
The women’s is a little more open, but there are a few at the top we expect to see at the front of the race. If one or two U23s decide to race elite it’ll be an even better battle. Maybe Brand will finally get her legs back and Ceylin will return to the form she had a couple years ago. It’ll be an exciting show.
Bring your bike race viewing beverage of choice. Feel free to bring a snack to share but no pressure!

We don’t usually have a giant crowd, so space has never been a problem. We would greatly appreciate if you could select “going”, or reply in this thread, for this event so we have an idea of the numbers.
