Bikepacking Adventure 2026

Posting to see interest in a Bikepacking Adventure to the Huron Coast this summer. I had interest last year from a number of people @carlsberg @sholota @GeoffS @hugoperezcano. Let me know if you are still interested and if so put it in your calendars!!

If anyone else is interested or has questions please let me know.

PROPOSED DATES: Friday June 26 - Monday June 29

Let me know if you are interested in another meetup in the spring to chat about planning and routes etc.

Yes, interested, as long as we don’t intend to go all out for 100 K a day.

Interested!

Definitely not all out since we will have camping equipment with us and stuff. I am thinking it would be a pace of about 20-23km/hr with plenty of breaks.

Hey! I have no idea what my work life will be like at this time but I am interested! even if I just meet up with you all at Point Farms, and/or Macgregor Point since I live in the area!

Oh and let me know if you want any tips for cool routes, trails or roads between Point Farms and Macgregor Point

That would be great Gwyneth - I am definitely interested in route options so we can avoid Hwy 21 as much as possible.

Great! Let me know if you choose Point Farms or Falls Reserve and I’ll have a look! You can add me on RWGPS if you have it. I already have pretty good routes from Point Clarke to Kincardine and Kincardine to MacGregor Point as long as folks don’t mind gravel.

How about a meetup in March? Anyone interested in meeting up at the Kitchener Farmers’ Market on Saturday March 14th around 11am? Let me know if you are interested as I would love to do some more route planning with you all!

Awesome - looking forward to meeting on March 14th at the Kitchener Market at 11am. I will be on the upper level near the Serrinia Cafe (the coffee shop on the top floor). We can grab a table to chat and they have tons of food vendors for lunch if you want to grab something. I will bring a print out of the plans and a map where we can talk about the route in general and a packing list.

This meetup is open to anyone interested in learning more. You don’t have to come on the trip to join us. Also, if you are unable to attend the meetup that’s ok too you are still welcome to join the trip. We have room for 6 people for tent camping and I have confirmation from 4 people so far (myself, @carlsberg, @hugoperezcano and @sholota ). If there is more interest we can try to get another site to make more room.

Hi Emily. I can’t make it for the meeting unfortunately as we’re away but I’m likely in.

Thanks for planning this.

I am available for the trip but can’t commit. I am rehabing a shoulder injury and not likely I would be able to handle multiple 100k days. I will attend the get together anyway and can contribute some route intel. I have bikepacked to/from all the parks on the route.

I’ll be in town for my nephew’s birthday so I will be able to attend the meeting! See you all Saturday! I also would like to commit to Point Clark and Macgregor Point camping. I would probably meet folks at the first campsite and then go to Macgregor Point and return home after that.

Thank everyone. I drafted these routes below - interested in feedback on them in general and gives you an idea of the distance. I think the route for Day 3 could use some tweaks.

Thanks Jim - I would love some input on this route for Day 3 from MacGregor Point to Conestogo Lake. Let me know if you think we should approach it another way?
