I’m watching the weather for the long weekend. Currently looking rainy for Saturday, but I should be able to lead ride(s) Sunday and/or Monday.
I was reminded of this route, which is super fun, but is best with an east wind. So maybe not, but I’m keeping it in mind whenever we do get an east wind.
So, still unsure overall. Sunday and Monday both have a forecast west or northwest wind. So I’ll need to check out what places are open on those days as a destination.
I’m going to post for Saturday morning. Weather still looks iffy. Probably a shorter route from LHSS to Baden Coffee CO., around 60 km. A few folks mentioned they would only have a bit of time in the morning. But we’ll see if the rain stays away.
Then I just need to confirm between Sunday or Monday which day I’m free. I’ll post something probably longer, around 100 km or so. Perhaps to Drayton (gotta check if A La Mode is open). Wind forecast seems to be from the Northwest.
Thinking of this. I might take this route and cut off a little to make a shorter version (not much can be cut, but might get it down to like 85 km), then make a longer version, maybe 110 km?
