Hi folks, it’s already July, which means it’s time to pick your velogames team for the Tour de France! Head over to velogames to create your roster. Entries close ahead of Stage 1 at 7:15 a.m. this Saturday.
Once you’ve created your roster, use the code 746857611 to join the WCC mini-league, where you can see the league rankings and everyone else’s roster (but only after rosters are locked when the race starts).
For anyone new to velogames, feel free to join the league! It’s a pretty straightforward friendly competition. Tour participants are ranked in their class (i.e., GC contender, climber, sprinter, etc.) and assigned a number of credits as a price to include them on your roster. You have 100 credits to buy 9 riders across certain classes. As riders are awarded points at the end of each stage and in the overall standings (full breakdown here), the total points earned by your riders is added up and forms your score. Whoever in the mini-league has the most points at the end of the race is the winner, simple as that. There are no in-race transfers, daily selections to be made, etc., so it’s super low maintenance.
