Hi, a couple of us from Rec Road group are planning to ride 200 km Brevet Saturday Aug 10. For most of us, including myself, this will be a first brevet to ride. We would like more people to ride with us. We are going to ride with a rec pace (23km/hr - 27km/hr)
This particular Brevet is a supposed one and highly recommended by Fred, Randonneurs Ontario Huron Chapter. He describes how this brevet will be as followings.

I would highly recommend you set your sights on the Railway City 200 brevet in St. Thomas August 10th. It’s special for a few reasons:
-
It’s fully supported by our club: All.pf our brevets are self-supported rides requiring riders to manage their own support at controls or in between. However for this brevet we staff and support the controls with refreshments providing a fondo-like experience for our riders.
-
it’s a figure-8 route: after the first 100kms you’re back at the ride’s launch point. This provides riders with a chance to decide whether they are feeling fresh enough to continue to the next 100 to complete the brevet. We will ways encourage riders to finish, but this option for a soft exit makes this event a great “my first brevet” experience.
