It’s that time of year for Cyclocross to begin! While the O-Cups aren’t starting for about a month, we do have the weekly Nordic Cats series starting, with this week (August 26th) being the first race (but no series points this week - it’s “practice” week).
This is a really fun series, and is pretty casual (but still fast if you want it). The drive is about the same as to Kelso from K-W, but you do get a lot more race days, and the pricing is very reasonable. Note that the start times get earlier through the season (I usually can’t make the last two races of the season in late October). And the last race is usually a costume race.
Pricing is $20 per race pay-as-you-go, or $85 for the series. You can even just keep paying per week until you hit the $85 mark.
