Hey Guys,
I am looking for a new GPS unit for my bike. I am was thinking about the Wahoo Bolt V2, Wahoo Roam or the Hammerhead Karoo 2. I ended up buying the Karoo 2 because the Bolt V2 is not shipping to Canada at this time for some reason. Anyone have opinion on this GPS?

I’d love to hear your feedback one you have it. I have the original Bolt and love it, but I’ve heard good things about the Karoo.
When it arrives and I have a week with it I will post a review of it.

I’ve been thinking about GPS units. I have a Garmin 810 and I’ve just changed the battery so we’ll see how it goes. I did a little research on the Lezyne GPS units. The battery life is way better than anything I’ve seen. Maybe not as fancy as Garmin or Wahoo or Karoo but about half the price! Chris A has one.
I have the Karoo 2. It’s ok. The screen and functionality is great. But what it lacks is decent software to analyze the ride data. You must use 3rd party like Strava (paid) or it has Xert that is supported by the OS of the Karoo 2. I have had a few incidents where the ride hasn’t uploaded, so I had to restart. And I was able to sync it then.
Positives are the maps and the simplicity of loading a map. And if you are an android user, you can side load actual android apps on the unit. Zwift companion will run on it. The touch screen is really bright and works great. Also the zwift segment loading is pretty good. I’m only on month 2 but so far I’m happy with it. I just want to find some better software, maybe I’ll go back to golden cheetah. I’m coming from a Garmin 520, so no regrets moving up from that and price wise, I think it’s priced better then the equivalent Garmin given the functions in the Karoo 2.
I bought mine from The Pro’s Closet and saved a little of the price that Hammerhead sells them for.
Not loving the review. Whenever someone something is just okay it does give me a lot of confidence
I will give it a go, if it doesn’t meet my needs I will send it back and get the Wahoo Bolt V2.
