Gravel ride recap for Saturday May 28 2022

A surprising nice and sunny day brought out a good group for the gravel rides.

Twelve gathered around Jim as Kevin headed off for the fast ride to Alma. Jim had us on a shorter loop north of Elmira.

Lots of lilacs along the way.

A stop at Bonnie Lou’s to test the butter tarts.

All of the vegetation is so lush right now. The current farm fields adding some contrast.

A nice time to be riding.

Thanks for the photos, Bill. It was great to get out on a gravel ride again!

The fast group tackled a relatively long route, but we were rewarded for out efforts with mud, closed bridges and roads, some pretty strong headwinds in the open areas near Arthur, but also delicious treats at The Right Spot in Alma.

Here we are regrouping as we exited the north trail at Sandy Hills:

We caught sight of some lilacs as well. Note the three guys waiting for me on the main road. :camera:

But the real challenge of the day: Do you get pie or carrot cake???
