First make sure your Garmin devices is updated to with the latest Garmin EDGE firmware (28.20)
Then follow these steps to disable Virtual Partner:
● Start the EDGE and be on the home/start screen.
● Press up button (middle side left button) until you see Controls.
● Press enter (top right). Select Find a Course. Select a route/course. Load it.
● Select “Ride” the course
● Go back to the home screen (right lower side button).
● Press UP until you get to Controls.
● Virtual Partner will now be on the Controls list.
● Select that to enter the Virtual Partner settings. Switch it off.
● Additional: Stop Course (if you’re configuring this without riding)
