For those who don’t know me, I’m Sam Shein, a Canadian gravel cyclist and full-time Urban Planning student at the University of Waterloo. This past year, I made the transition from road to gravel racing. I competed in several races across Ontario, placing in the top ten in all (but one) of those races. Most notably, I placed 10th at the UCI Blue Mountains Gravel Fondo. Prior to this year, I raced for the Toronto Hustle Junior Cycling team, competing across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
In 2025, I’m starting a new cycling chapter as a gravel privateer and, in the coming years, aspiring to be competitive on the highest level of gravel racing.
ARG Sports, Ziggy’s Cycle, BC Gravel Race Series, Subtext Coffee Roasters, Solo Fuel Systems, The Biking Lawyer, Impact Kitchen, and Beaver Valley All-Road Classic have generously donated a range of cycling (and non-cycling) products for me to auction to help fund my 2025 racing season.
