Advice re: road tires

Looking for opinions. What 700 by 28 tubeless road tires are you running and do you like them? I generally run continental 5000s but in the 28 mm they look narrow.

I run the same 5000s in a 28 and love them

Pirelli P Zero Race in 28 and tubeless. Love the grip and they wear well too.

Scott, I have a set of Pirelli P Zero Race tires in 28mm that I rode last year until I went tubeless. There is still plenty of tread left on them. Would you like to try them out and see how you like them?

Thanks for the offer, Rob, but I should have mentioned I’m looking for advice on tubeless 28s!!

I have a pair of 28mm gp5000 on two different rims, on the DT r460, 18/23 (inner/outer width), wheel they’re sitting around 27.8mm, and on a kinlin xr26, that has a 19mm/24mm the tire measure 28.6. Of course with a product made out of rubber there is going to be variances, but I think rim width determines how much a tire will balloon up.

I have some other wheels with a 32mm inner measurement, and put a 30mm gp5k on for the front and it swells up to ~32.4mm, and for the rear I put a 32mm on and it measured out to 34.4mm so that’s my experience with those tires so far.

Thanks for the details!!

You can run mixed too if you like. 30 or 32 on back and 28mm up front. (Provided you have the clearance). GP5000TR are great and really low resistance setup tubeless…
