Awesome, it’s road riding season again… which means the TT’s are beginning again. I look forward to timing everyone again this year and hope we have another successful year. Weather gods, please be kind!!!
To make this work, please indicate if you’re going and your estimated finish time. I have an archive of past performances, but that doesn’t necessarily account for your current condition. Once I have all the athletes info, I will do a seeding for the race.
I want to reiterate what Chris posted on the event – this is open to EVERYONE. I am more then happy to time your first TT, or your 100th… this is something we offer to the club for all to use to test their fitness… or just to allow them to feel like a Pro for 40 minutes. Please come out one and all and show yourself what you can achieve.
Your friendly Commissaire,
Kevin Scheerer

Quick bump for this TT tomorrow. Please mark yourself as going and an estimated time for the 14km TT. It’s looking like a perfect evening for the first TT of the year.

Lorie will be there too. Probably around 21:30 for her.
I’ll likely be on the road bike (Hip is acting up on the TT bike) so maybe 21:00?

19:30. See you tomorrow

The wind is look decent for tomorrow too. It’s a headwind out and a nice tail return. On that course it generally leads to better times than a headwind return.

@Bopper I’m going to try out the TT rig and see how my hip feels. (Raised the front end and made some tweaks that should help)
I’ll shoot for 19:25. Thanks!

I think I’ll come out direct from work. I’m on my road bike and after doing intervals last night (bike) and this morning (run), I’m not expecting much other than a hard effort. I’ll try for 22 minutes give or take…

Great turnout and nice to see everyone (sadly only briefly as I had a wardrobe malfunction 30mins before the start when I went to put on my chammy butter and my zipper exploded) Had to boot it home, get my road kit and boot it back.

Good evening everyone,

Tonight’s Individual Time Trial was a success. The weather was cool and a little breezy, but it was a West wind, so it was almost directly into the wind on the way out, but a wonderful tailwind coming back. The road was in great shape again – once I cleared off the some road apples and road kill (skunk). We had 13 riders show up for the first TT session (one bowed out before starting though)… and we got everyone started safely.

Here are the results:

Special shout out to the following:
Marinel - Welcome to the club and great job on your first TT.
Simon - Welcome back after a lengthy hiatus. Great seeing you tonight!!
Kirsten - Excellent work for your first TT!.. and being held for the first time. Glad it didn’t freak you out too much. (sorry I didn’t get your last name… I shouldn’t assume you took William’s.)
Excellent work by the young guns – Alexander and Ian… so great to see you two on the road after your successful seasons on the track.
… and everyone else… so great to see you all again… even you @Luke_Ehgoetz . Thanks for keeping me company while we waited for the riders to get back.

See everyone in June… until then ride safe.
Kevin
