I popped in after work yesterday and it seems they have supplied all the items in all the sizes which was a pleasant surprise (even the jackets). Certainly going to have to be careful with the credit card once the store opens

There have been delays in getting the store opened - working to resolve them asap but DON’T miss out on getting to McPhails to try on the Fit Kits. Take photos of tags, make notes of your styles and sizes etc so you are ready to order when the club store does go live.
ONLY 2 days left to try before you buy!

Alright.

Just came back from McPhails. Bumped into @MartinM. Enchante !

Definitely have to go try each item on. They all fit differently. But they have EVERY size in EVERY product. See below.

A slim Italian fit, I am not ! For me, I had to go up a full size. And jackets fit a little different. I’d actually go up two sizes? Or commit to losing a few KGS in time for spring?

Regardless, the Castelli kits are amazing. And those prices are far below retail.

As Martin and I were discussing, it is something special to wear a club kit. It’s more than a team uniform. It means something. It brings everyone together around a shared club experience and represents the values of riding, racing and leading in the community.

That’s WCC.

Thanks @KGale

Does anyone know what style the red jersey in front on the ladies rack is? I popped in to McPhail’s and tried that one on, but didn’t think to check what the style was called.

It’s Friday. My ability to focus is done for this week.

I think that red one is the Race one.
I tried on jerseys last night and I need to go up a size in all. I dont like tight jerseys. I personally like the Endurance jersey materials and fit the best. And I like the long sleeve. Wish I’d gotten another Garneau long sleeve though as i really like having 5 pockets.

Hi @Jessica_Leigh - at least you made it to Friday! My focus dropped off around Wednesday…:grimacing:

There were two styles that had red jerseys, the Strada and the Aero Race. The one at the front in Alain’s photo is the Strada. The Aero Race would have been very form fitting where the Strada is a more relaxed fit. Hope that helps!

Thanks @KGale that’s very helpful!

The guy who directed me to the rack at McPhail’s told me to go up a size. I own one Castelli jersey already that I acquired second hand, and it’s definitely on the small size, so I had an inkling they were sized smaller than all the other cycling kit I own.

Anyone who doesn’t manage to get to McPhail’s to try things on… Definitely go up a size if you want to wing it. At least for ladies sizing.

Yes!! I went up one size in the Endurance Jersey and two sizes in the Competizione Bibs.

@Jessica_Leigh - confirmed the red jersey is Strada

I’ll add one more to the pile of folks saying to size up a full size, however I’ll say that for the jersey, I found that the endurance style worked for me in my usual size. I usually wear a M jersey and the L aero one from Castelli was super…aero, let’s just say. When I tried the L on the endurance style, it was definitely quite a bit looser, so I tried the M and it was just right.

I guess the moral here as far as I’m concerned is that if you like the jersey to fit nice and snug, but don’t like the second skin type of race fit of the aero style jersey, you could probably be pretty comfortable in your normal size of the endurance style.

Can’t wait to get this kit on.

Hi Kerry,

Has a link been shared yet for the cycling kit online store?

Luke

I don’t have an update yet. Hoping to know more by the end of the day today, delaying sending out the weekly newsletter in hopes I can include next steps and updates there. I will post here as well when I know anything.
