This past Saturday, there was a media event in Victoria park to highlight the government grant received by the Red Raccoon Bike Rescue and the services the shop provides in the community.

Personally, I’ve been volunteering at RRBR since December and have enjoyed it very much. I had some knowledge of bike repair to begin with based on working on my own bikes but with the expertise of those at RRBR, I’ve learned so much more. But it’s not about that. The most rewarding parts are helping customers service their bikes and restoring donated bikes to be sold to community members who need them.
