A documentary has been made detailing the women’s Tour de France Féminin that took place for 6 years back in the 1980’s.

It will be shown at select theatres across Canada on April 7.

I am planning on checking this documentary out as I was lucky enough as a junior (hundreds of years ago in the late 1980’s) to be coached by one of the women that raced for the Canadian team at one of those Tour de France Féminin races. Will be nice to see her again as part of the film!

Was great to see the theater full of cyclists! And so much history I didn’t know. We definitely have to have a Tour de France Femmes watch party again this summer! I’ll be happy to host it or help plan it.

Yes, it’s powerful to see our community come together for this shared experience! I wish we had taken the group to the Lion Brewery for some post movie reunification!
