Psyched to be riding again this year, doing the Classic (along with @pascallap and who else??). We’re looking to do a recon ride on Sunday for anyone interested; will hunt around to see if there’s a thread for that.
Last year was epically muddy and so hard, but at least it was warm. Very excited to see how this year turns out weather-wise and to join the club at the finish line. Pascal, @KGale or @JimDaley, please let me know if I can do anything to help set up the tent for other WCC riders.
Does anyone know how much in advance they send us the route for the race? Is it just the night before?
Usually yeah. They don’t want people riding the private property sections since they only have permission from the owners to ride on their properties on race day.

@KevinGoertz made a good point on another thread that the race organizers have some suggested pre-ride maps on their websites. Might be worth checking out.

The long range weather forecast for race day is looking superb. I’ve raced P2A several times when it was cold and wet. While it makes it a bigger adventure, I would gladly trade that for warm and dry. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Added to my race calendar on Oct 11/12th . I don’t think I have much hope in placing in the top 25% even in my age category, but it is worthy goal:
That reminds me…I need to see if I can get a 11-42 cassette to work on my GRX 2x drivetrain so I can make it up Old Martin Road without walking/cramping
