King Street Cycles Slaydy Ride - July 14

The King Street Cycles Slaydy Ride will be a go if the Hydrocut is dry enough for the trails to open. Kari is taking the lead this week and will confirm whether the ride is able to happen and if so, which parking lot it will start from. The ride leaves @ 6pm.

The ride is open to all that identity as female.

Don’t forget bug spray! Feel free to bring something for post-ride hydration at the tailgate party.

Ride Details:

  • The ride leaves at 6:00pm, unless otherwise communicated. Try to arrive at least 5-10 minutes earlier to make sure you and your bike are ready and to get organized into your ride group.

  • Groups will be divided according to pace. There will be a pre-assigned leader for each group. (Typically we split into 2 to 3 groups, depending on the number of participants.)

  • Participants are encouraged to sign-up for the ride in advance. This will give us a general idea of how many people are riding and the number of groups needed as well as emergency contact information. A new form will be made available each week.

  • All participants need to be in good health. We will follow public health guidelines.

  • All riders need to have a bike in working order, wear a helmet and be self-sufficient in terms of tools, tubes, water and snacks.

  • Don’t forget insect repellant!

Group Communication:

  • Email List: If you would like to be contacted about the rides via email, please send me a note and I will add you to our google group.
  • WhatsApp: Ride communications are also made over our WhatsApp chat. This group is also a great way to connect with other riders outside of our weekly rides. Send me your phone number if you would like to be added to our WhatsApp chat group.

Jo

The trails are open so the ladies ride is on for tonight! We will meet in the upper Glasgow lot as normal.

The air quality index is at a 5 (moderate risk), so please use your judgement if you’re at risk at all due to air quality.
