Good evening all, it was wonderful to see you all tonight at the first Time Trial of the 2024 season. I donāt know about the rest of you, but this was the PERFECT evening for a TT. There was wind, but it really calmed down when we startedā¦ so you were luckyā¦ and the temperature was absolutely perfect. I wish I could have joined you in the suffering, but have to stay off the bike for 7 daysā¦ doctorās orders (and wife ).
As I expected there were some extremely fast times tonight. Great effort everyoneā¦ from the first timers to the experienced racersā¦ there were some truly exceptional efforts put out. Here are the results for tonightās Time Trial.
Stats for tonight:
14 riders, 4 women, 4 KWCA youth, 11 riders on Aero equipment, 2 MX riders (usually itās half & half), and one Hand Cycle (Welcome back Roger!!!)
Most of the time estimates were beaten soundlyā¦ you donāt give yourself enough credit. A couple estimates were WAAAAY off ā namely Ronan ā that was a solid ride by that young man. Congratulations sir!!
Great work everyone, it was a pleasure timing for you again and I look forward to seeing your improvements over the summer. A special thank you to James McLean for manning the turn around and picking up all the signs on the way backā¦ that was totally unexpected and truly appreciated!

Streicher Lineā¦This course is a beautiful out and back course just north of our WCC Bamberg loop. Itās mostly flat with a couple of rollers, crossing over a nice river and bridge with a safe turnaround to head back to the start.

Description:
All ability levels are welcome. Any bike type is welcome as well (no e-Bikes). People have raced on road, TT, cross/gravel, MTBās, hand cycles etc.
There are two categories āAeroā and āRoad Bikeā:
Aero:
Anything goes (No UCI restrictions)
Road:
No clip on aerobars, no invisible aerobars/hands draped over the tops, no TT disc rear wheels, no TT specific helmet, (Aero road helmets are fine, skin suits are fine).
All bike types are welcome. If you have clip on aerobars or want to use invisible aerobars / hands draped over the tops on your road bike you can participate, youāll just be slotted into the aero category.
Based on participant feedback weāve moved the TT to Wednesday nights. We will also coordinate with Kevin Gibson to ensure we are aligning schedules with the monthly gravel TT as well.
