# Private or not private posts

Nice to see the chatter in the forums but consider where you post your thread and comments. We have private sections - marked with a lock symbol - that the general public does not see. You might not want to announce everything to the world at large.  
We have the official rides section plus a rides meetup that are both locked for a reason - if you are planning a ride and it is intended for club members, might want to use one of them.

Just something to consider.

To clarify my thoughts, things that some nefarious types might use to know who was home and not home - especially if for long periods or on a regular basis - are best kept private.

It is something to think about when posting.
